“To encourage the trend of priests to spiritual perfection for which the effectiveness of their ministry depends upon, I have decided to hold a special Pastoral Year from June 19, 2009-Sacred Heart of Jesus and Journey for the Pastoral Blessing- to June 19, 2010”. This year “marks the 150th anniversary of the death of Saint Jean-Marie Vianney, Curé of Ars, a true example of a shepherd in the service of Christ's flock.”
